For lack of anything better to do, I clicked through all my charts on my Last.FM account. Thought you might like to see what the first song was I ever scrobbled.

Yesterday was my birthday, woohoo.

Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain, Winehouse.
That's what a lot of papers will write; I don't know, she was a good musician, but other than the fact that she also died at 27, I don't think she's had the same influence on music as the others did. But that's just my opinion, whether you count her in or out the 27 club, that's all up to you.

R.I.P. Amy Winehouse

I'm tricking my mind into thinking that it's actually 30 degrees outside and that I don't live in a sad, little country without a government where it rains all the time… oh well, anyone care to dance?

I had no inspiration to post today, so I went with a song that has been on and off repeat since the end of last year. This is Elbow how I love them best: from the heart to the heart.

The Kooks were the very first band I ever fangirled over, they're how I got into good music/music I think is good. So I kind of owe it to them to post something of their new album, Junk Of The Heart, here. I don't like the single (and also title track) that much, so I went with this one, it's different than what they used to do, but I'm in for more.

Also:

I need a proper recording of this.

Yes, it's been done before. No, that doesn't makes it any less good.
